This winter, you can be someone’s source of warmth.
Thousands of families in eastern Ukraine risk facing the freezing cold without heating. Together, we can provide them with fuel that will protect them from cold, illness, and despair.

Why it matters now

Winter in wartime is a true test of survival.
In many settlements of Kherson Oblast:

• electricity supply is unstable,
• centralized heating is absent,
• gas networks are disconnected or destroyed.

Cold inside the home is not just discomfort. It means illness, stress for children and the elderly, and the inability to cook food. Temperatures indoors can drop as low as +5°C.

Our goal

We aim to raise 2,240,000 UAH (€46,450) to purchase firewood for 150 households in Kherson Oblast, families who cannot provide fuel for heating on their own due to the war. Distribution will be carried out by Caritas Beryslav.

Alina’s Story

“Warmth, for me, means family, children, and hugs,” says Alina Salamatova, lighting her stove.
She and her husband fled the war twice and had to start life from scratch both times. After moving to Khmelnytskyi region, they were left without belongings, without a home, and with a newborn in their arms.
“They helped us with everything—from food to a crib for the baby. And even with firewood for heating. It saved us. Now the house is warm, the children aren’t freezing, and we once again believe that we can live.”
